Cricut now has another highly useful tool in their mix which is the Cricut True Control Knife blue. Now what makes this craft knife so different or better than the other craft knives in the market? To start with, the blades are super sharp and cut flawlessly through a range of thick and thin materials like craft foam, balsa board, sunboard, felt, vinyl, paper and card stock. The knife tool has an auto reload feature where you can click the button on the bottom and pick up any blade from the blade set. The blade has a tail that fits securely inside the pen. This prevents the blade from wiggling around under pressure and helps you flawlessly cut out appliqués and other paper silhouettes from the grip mat. The holder has a click and lock system, where you twist the button and it clicks, locking the blade in place of the Cricut True Control Knife blue. To remove the blade, twist again and push the button down to remove the blade. This feature is in place to avoid you slicing open your hand while removing the blade.
