If you've ever put your bicycle on stand, you must have noticed a spring attached to the stand that quickly snaps the stand in its position in just a little lift from the ground. The Extension Spring Pack from Utility are the kind of springs use there. This extension spring is different than a compression spring as it elongates when a bit of pressure is applied on it and then regains its position back again when the pressure is released from the spring.
